Old San Jaun

May 26, 2011

We went on a cruise a few weeks ago that left from San Juan so we spent 2 days there before the ship set sail.

I love the architect in Old San Juan. It’s so pretty to walk about and check out all the moldings and balconys on the old buildings.

A quick stop at Senor Frogs for some yards of beer and balloon hats.

A Sideways Weekend

May 10, 2011

We found a good sale on a hotel in Mystic, Connecticut 2 weekends ago and even though we have been there a few times we still haven’t visited too many wineries so we went on a Sideways weekend. We stopped at 5 wineries over the 3 days and tasted many many yummy wines.

We stopped at these vineyards: Stonington Vineyards, Jonathan Edwards Winery, Maugle Sierra Vineyards, Heritage Trail Vineyards, Priam Vineyards

Incase you were wondering some of the Vineyards are open on Easter.

Coney Island

April 8, 2011

We made a quick stop this weekend in Coney Island.

It’s a very different place this time of year compared to the summer time.

These two hamburger people were my favorite.

Playing with toys

March 12, 2011

Another weekend we took a trip to the city and stopped by Toys R Us because we love toys. And who doesn’t love a giant indoor ferris wheel?

We rode the ferris wheel in the Little Tikes Car

And then Duck made a new friend.

And you can’t pass by the Nuts 4 Nuts stand.

Duck takes Manhattan

March 11, 2011

These are from a little over a year ago but I never posted them. We spent a weekend in NYC for our 5th Anniversary. And 2 weekends ago we spent another weekend in NYC for our 6th anniversary so I figured it was about time I posted them.

Roosevelt Island tram

Lighthouse in Roosevelt Island

McSorley’s Ale House

Top of the Empire State Building at night, so much better then waiting in line for hours during the day. There was no one there and the view is much better with all the lights.

The road to Duck Key – Part 2

January 27, 2011

After Duck Key we spend a few nights in Islamorada…

drinking,

fishing,

swimming,

beaching,

sunset-ing,

and just relaxing.

Oh and Duck made a friend.

The road to Duck Key

January 18, 2011

Back in October we took a trip to the Florida Keys. We flew in to Ft. Lauderdale and took the very rainy drive down to Duck Key.

The next day was beautiful and sunny. And Duck loved Duck Key.

The next night we took a drive further South to the 7 mile bridge.

Then we stopped for Sangria at this awesome place at the beginning of the bridge.

The next day we headed North to Anne’s beach to do some snorkeling.

If you ever have the change to drive through the Florida Keys down to Key West I recommend you do it. It’s long but we’ll worth the trip and there are plenty of great places to stop along the way.

Merry Christmas

December 27, 2010

We had our first real tree with all our traveling ornaments this year.

And Ducks in there hanging out too.

We get an ornament from everywhere we go so we can be reminded of the fun we had. In the picture below you can see ornaments from NYC, Maine and San Juan.

Here are a few of my favorite.

From Cleveland.

From Mexico.

From Key West.

Lifeguard stand from Montauk and glass penguin from Bermuda.

And from Iceland.

A night in Philadelphia

November 6, 2010

Playing at the Municipal services building.
