A few more stops on the cruise ship

May 10, 2012

Next stop was in Antigua where duck enjoyed the view from our balcony.

And we went snorkeling with the sting rays.

Our final stop was in Bermuda and since we recently explored Bermuda on a scooter we decided to just hang out at the beach for awhile, after making sure to get our passports stamped :)

And the sunset from the balcony as we sailed home from Bermuda.

Duck finally lands in Bermuda

May 5, 2010

After a long fight at the airport and many nights spent fighting with customer service, Duck got his plane and hotel switched to the following weekend.

Once he finally landed in Bermuda he rented a scooter

drove to the Beach

And the Crystal Caves.

After along day of Scooter riding he took at nap

Then headed to Hamilton for a drink.

The next day he relaxed on the beach.

And went for a swim.

That evening he sent some postcards home and enjoyed a glass of wine.

On his last day he did some snorkeling

and took a boat ride.

Duck attempts to visit Bermuda

April 26, 2010

A Tuesday morning in January Duck saw an offer from Jetblue that said $29 each way tickets to Bermuda if he left that Saturday and came back Tuesday. Great deal!! He booked it immediately and then booked himself 3 nights at a 4 star hotel with his free hotels.com nights. This was going to be a great trip.

It was his first trip on the LIRR and the Airtrain.

With his passport ready he waited to board the plane.

Waiting patiently for takeoff he paid close attention to the safety announcements since this was his first airplane ride.

Once in the air he enjoyed the view.

And his inflight snack.

After 2 hours of flying and just 10 minutes away from the pink sand beaches the pilot came on the loud speaker and said that due to the 50 mph winds we may not be landing but he was going to attempt it.

A little worried we looked out the window and saw these waves.

These pictures don’t really show it but those waves appeared to be inches from the wing and at least 50 feet high!

The pilot attempted the landing but the cross winds weren’t going to let that happen.

So we took advantage of the free beer and all the animal crackers you could eat as we headed back to New York very disappointed.
